What is Convocation?

Expect plenty of pomp and circumstance at this annual ceremony to welcome the university's newest incoming class. President Bruce Herrald, Interim Provost Sue Curry (the university's chief academic officer), and a student representative of the Class of 2021 will speak, and in keeping with tradition, officials will ring the Old Capitol bell and a student choral group will perform the Old Gold Hymn. The event is outside of Old Capitol, on the east lawn of the Pentacrest, so wear plenty of sunscreen!
