On Iowa! Student Leaders
On Iowa! is a required three-day program for first-year students held immediately before classes begin in August. Designed to complement summer Orientation, On Iowa! will build connections among students, convey University history and traditions, emphasize The IOWA Challenge expectations, and offer strategies for academic success and involvement beyond the classroom.
The heart of On Iowa! is its 300 student leaders (OISLs), who are responsible for guiding and supporting 30 first-year students. OISLs will create a welcoming environment, facilitate small-group discussions, and share their own experiences.
On Iowa! Student Leaders will receive a $100 stipend.
