Housing

If you applied for on-campus housing, you will receive an email after room selection with information on your date and time to log back into the housing portal to select your move-in date and time. Move-in date and time selection will occur in mid-July. New student move-in will be Saturday, August 15 - Monday, August 17, and you will select one of those three days to move in. You can also move in after Monday if that works best for your schedule. Find a list of what to pack on Housing's website.

If you’re not living on campus, make sure you check in for the On Iowa! program to receive your personalized itinerary and Iowa merch. Check-in runs the following dates and times:

11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Sunday, August 16,  International Ballroom, 2nd Floor of the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU).

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 17-19, International Ballroom, 2nd Floor, Iowa Memorial Union.

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Thursday, August 20, Welcome Center, 1st Floor, Iowa Memorial Union.

Late check-in begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 21 at the Welcome Center, 1st Floor, Iowa Memorial Union.

Meals

If you are living in the residence halls, meal service will begin the day you move in.

  • Walking: You will be walking a lot during the program (see the Disability & Mobility Accommodations information below if you need assistance). Be sure to wear appropriate footwear.
