Classroom Tours

Not sure where your classes are located? Then join us as our tour guides stop by the main lecture hall buildings. Bring your course schedule and they will assist you in finding your specific buildings. Tours will leave every 15 minutes from Hubbard Commons, IMU (we'll be by the elevators). The last tour of the day will depart at 2:45 p.m.

College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Welcome Party

Join the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for a free concert on the Pentacrest by UI student bands! Singer-songwriter Elly Hofmaier and the 9-piece ska band The Mystic Cats will play. Enter a drawing for prizes (including wireless headphones and a cold brew iced coffee maker), meet your new best friend Herky, get a shirt and other free Hawkeye stuff, and grab some munchies. (If it rains, the party will move to the Voxman Music Building.)

Making it Count: Getting the Most Out of Your College Math Courses CANCELED

Mathematics is an important part of many science, technology and business courses. In this workshop, we will discuss what you should expect when you take a math course at the University of Iowa. (Hint: It will be different from your math courses in high school!) We will also provide you with tips and resources that will help learn the math skills you need to be successful.
