Paid Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Learn about paid internship opportunities for first-year students interested in STEM and research! The Iowa Sciences Academy (ISA) has a research internship program called the Science Alliance (SA). Students will be matched with a research lab and Mentor and may work 10 -12 hours per week at $15/hour. Students must be interested in a STEM major and be seriously committed to a career in scientific research. The Science Alliance especially encourages students to apply who may have faced barriers or challenges in their path towards their higher education and career goals, are dedicated to fostering diversity in the sciences, and are eager to contribute to a supportive and inclusive community of peers. Typical appointments will start in the spring semester, but opportunities to begin in the fall semester may be available.
