Rec After Dark

Come enjoy some late night activities at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center. If you would like to partake in the activities within the aquatic, be sure to bring your swim suit! Events include: Archery Tag, Lip Sync Battle, Volleyball, Yard Games, Climbing Wall, Log Rolling, Group Fitness Classes. 

Rock Wall Try Climb

Try the three-story rock wall! Try climbs are designed for people wishing to “try” climbing. The climbing wall staff will manage the safety systems while you experience the climbing wall first hand. Try climbs are great way to get a feel for the sport without committing to a lesson and learning all of the technical safety skills.

Paddleboard the Iowa River

Join us and see Iowa City from a different perspective as we paddle board the Iowa River! This trip is for anyone and everyone: no experience necessary! Our staff will steer you in the best direction from start to finish. Sign-up begins promptly at 4 PM at the Admission Visitors Center, first floor of the Pomerantz Center. Limited to the first 10 participants. You must be 18 years old to participate. Touch the Earth is a Division of the University of Iowa Recreational Services. They offer courses in outdoor recreation, martial arts and social dance for academic credit.

Dance Lessons with UI Breakers

(Meet in E201 Halsey Hall) UI Breakers, a University of Iowa student organization, is dedicated to breakdancing and hip-hop culture, creates camaraderie among its members—even as they “battle” against one another—and boosts their confidence in the process. No experience needed. Wear clothes in which you can move in and good-soled shoes (e.g. tennis shoes).

Bubble Soccer

Bubble Soccer is the sport of playing soccer while inside an inflated bubble. Test your skills against other students while being surrounded in a bubble. Game on!
